Философия (Учебник)Иными словами, гендер обозначает те культурные и социальные значения, которые приписываются биологическим различиям между мужчинами и женщинами. В феминистских исследованиях гендер становится аналитической категорией: и как модель социальных отношений между женщинами и мужчинами, и как культурный символ, гендер конституирует доминирование "мужского" в обществе и подавление женского. Гендер, таким образом, оказывается одним из базовых принципов социальной стратификации. В качестве других фундаментальных принципов выступают этничность (национальность), возраст, социальная принадлежность. Сочетание этих стратификационных принципов усиливает действие каждого из них.
